The Lineup: May ‘10
What I can’t live without: The Boondocks. One of the smartest and most poignant shows returned this month for its final season. If you’ve never seen Uncle Ruckus in action… you simply haven’t lived life.
(Related: Nice weather – good karma for putting up with February)
So in love with…: Betty White. She’s the s**t! Hilarious in that Snickers commercial, hosted SNL and even played Beer Pong with Jimmy Fallon. Classic.
(Related: Crystal Bowersox – YOU SHOULD HAVE WON!)
You should have Netflix’d: Crazy Heart. This is simply a great movie whether you like country music or not. Jeff Bridges draws you in from the first scene and you are captivated all the way through. Those awards are well deserved.
(Related: New York, I Love You. – If you love NY and love Love, you will love this movie)
Had to make room on my iPod for: B.o.B one of T.I. newest artists is showing just why Hip-Hop isn’t dead. Pick up that new album, The Adventures of Bobby Ray.
(Related: Jadakiss, Game, Jeezy)
You’re currently sleeping on: Pac Div – Don’t Mention It.
If I had a book club, I would recommend: “Why We Suck” by Denis Leary. If you like his brand of no-nonsense-in-your-face style of comedy then you will love this one.
Kinda embarassed but: I’m spent money to go see Just Wright. I mean I knew it was going to be bad, but I was still talked into doing it anyway. You guys owe me some money.
(Related: S-M-H)
Easiest job in the world: Lebron James’ agent. With Lebron being a free agent this summer, he doesn’t even need to negotiate. He just has to show up and sign some papers and collect his 10%.
(UNrelated: President Obama)
It’s been a good month for: Elena Kagan. From New York, to Princeton to the President of Harvard Law, this woman will most likely be our newest Supreme Court Justice. Go. Girl.
Can’t wait for: Drake – Thank Me Later. If you don’t know why this is highly anticipated, then you have been sleeping under some kind of rock.
(Related: NBA Finals, The Karate Kid)
Is the Pac-Div joint a mixtape or a CD? Them dudes are aight.
ReplyDeleteFinal season for Boondocks? (Sigh)
Just Wright? Way to selflessly give to the black community. You da man.
