Tick, Tock.

Fox announced that Season 8 of the hit show 24 will be the last time that we’ll ever see Jack Bauer save the world.  This landmark, award-winning series changed the way we looked at television dramas.  The sound of that clock ticking every week made your heart beat and hairs stand up on your arms.  Although the show had its low points, its still historic and deserves a proper send off.  So here are my 24 things about 24.

01. CTU needs better background checks.

02. Chloe is kinda weird and funny looking but I think she will rock your world.

03. Terrorists should just figure out what state Jack is in, then plan to bomb something on the other side of the country.

04. 8 days – 192 hours = 0 bathroom breaks.  Impressive.

05. After the first day, how was Jack ever able to go undercover?  Was there no newspaper coverage?  That’s like Colin Powell going undercover in ’95 after the Gulf War.

06. David Palmer is partly responsible for Barack Obama’s presidency.  I will always believe that.  I also trust him in Allstate commercials.

07. Nina was the best villain ever.

08. China apparently thinks water boarding is for sissies.

09. The employees at CTU should have better health benefits.  You know, to handle all those attacks.

10. Props to Marwan for being the Terrorist with the most backup terrorist plans.  I think he had 4 of them.

11. The Bauer family desperately needed Dr. Phil’s guidance.  Your brother AND father were terrorists? SMH.

12. The Terri Bauer moment is still the most shocking moment for me in the history of television.

13. Amnesia Award goes to the U.S. Government for forgetting that Jack Bauer just saved the world and wondering if he’s still a rouge agent.

14. Simple equation: Listen to Jack = Good things happen.  Don’t Listen to Jack = People Die.

15. Days 6, 7 & the first half of 8 shouldn’t have happened.  I think they stopped paying the writers.

16. What really happened during those commercial breaks?

17. Sherri Palmer was like Oprah and Michelle Obama, only if both of them switched souls with that evil eye thing from Lord of the Rings.

18. Tony Almeida really needed to get lessons decision making.

19. Jack died, came back and still managed to prevent a world war.  But I’m sure you had a rough day at your job too.

20. Kiefer Sutherland may legally change his name to Jack Bauer and it wouldn’t surprise me in the least. 

21. Didn’t realize that you could break into the White House from underground.  Also didn’t realize Africans could scuba dive to get there.

22. Being a local police officer somehow made you a magnet for bullets.  Has any of them ever survived?

23. Its not that Jack has commitment issues, its that you may not survive long enough to know if your relationship will work.

24. Never quite looked at the clock the same way again.
